About

CompanyGraph is built by a small independent team at Smallbox Labs. This page says why it exists, the rules it holds itself to, and what it will not do.

What CompanyGraph is

CompanyGraph reads the reported numbers of thousands of public companies and turns them into named, checkable measurements — observations, and the interpretations that form when several align. The front page shows it working on a real company; the screener is where you use it.

Why it exists

Financial information is abundant but fragmented. A single company is described through scattered numbers, each shown in isolation and each demanding interpretation the reader rarely has time to perform. Most tools expose raw metrics and stop there.

CompanyGraph does that reading in advance — how margins behave, how debt sits against cash flow, how growth and valuation align, how a company compares within its industry — and presents the results as named conditions you can recognize and reuse.

How it holds itself honest

The rules CompanyGraph holds itself to — how claims, evidence, trust, and limits are handled — are published on the method pages, together with a live ledger of how far each observation can currently be trusted and a dated record of the mistakes that made the method stricter. Those are the product's actual working rules, not marketing.

What it will not do

CompanyGraph does not provide financial advice. It makes no buy or sell recommendations, predicts no prices or returns, ranks no winners, and guarantees no outcomes. Everything on the platform is descriptive — material for judgment, with the judgment left to you. Every user is responsible for their own financial decisions.

Privacy and principles

CompanyGraph collects as little as it can. An account requires only an email address. There are no personal profiles, no advertising trackers, no third-party behavioral analytics, and no selling of user data. Logging exists for stability and operation, never for tracking.

The same restraint shapes the product: long-term coherence over rapid growth, fewer surfaces kept honest over many surfaces kept impressive.

Built by Smallbox Labs

CompanyGraph is designed, built, and operated by Smallbox Labs, an independent software studio focused on systems that are owned, inspectable, and built to keep changing.

CompanyGraph is not a demo or a marketing example. It is a working financial-data product — live data imports, structured backend boundaries, an interpretation pipeline, content systems, and public pages — maintained as a real system over time. It stands on its own as a product, and it is also a working record of how Smallbox Labs builds.
